Asian Americans band together for
a night of voter registration and good music Chicago,
IL- Asian Social Network (www.asiansocialnetwork.com
) presents a night of community & civic responsibility
intertwined with the best of drum & bass sounds! The event
will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2004 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at
Chicago's known hot spot where music is honored, Sonotheque 1444 W.
Chicago Ave., Chicago, IL. Entrance fee will be $10.00 per
person. As the summer
fireworks of independence fade, we need to remember it will be busy
at the polls this November. Politicians may not always hear
the Asian American community, but we are here. Asian Americans
may have been given the stereotype of "not" rocking the
boat. Times, they change. This event is instrumental in
making our numbers and our voting voices count. If there is any time
to make the Asian American voices heard, it is now. Time for us to
"Rock the Boat". Asian
Social Network has organized this voter registration drive called
"Rock the Boat, Rock the Vote!" With the support of
many pan-Asian community organizations, this event mixes a cool
night of fun with civic responsibility and it encourages Asian
Americans to register to vote and exercise their right to vote in
this country. What do
